It’s mixed using Portland Cement, sand, fibres, and water and is factory produced on-site by our state-of-the-art mobile screed factory. Our floor screed complies with the requirements of BS EN 13813:2002 and BS 8204: Part 1 and can be used for bonded, unbonded, and floating floor screed constructions for both residential and commercial applications.

Traditional Sand/Cement Floor Screed is suitable for floors in homes, offices, public buildings, and places exposed to similar loads. It may be applied as a levelling screed directly onto a load-bearing floor, unbonded on a separating barrier (polythene), or a floating floor. Traditional Sand / Cement Floor Screed should be covered with a floor finish such as tiles, linoleum, parquet, cork, or carpet.

The NFMHS is a new state-of-the-art facility located 22 km from Dublin City in Portrane, North County Dublin. The project was awarded by Health Service Executive to the Joint Venture formed by OHL (50%) and OHL’s local delivery partner JJ Rhatigan (50%).

The flooring project was delivered as a total of 44,000m2 (24,000 m2 of Alpha Hemihydrate Sudanit 280 Screed by, Fast Floor Screed Ltd using their state-of-the-art Mobile Screed Factories).

Floor Renovation | SLC 578 Self Levelling Compound | Dungloe Community Hospital

We applied Sopro SLC 578 – Self Levelling Compound in this renovation project of a floor in Dungloe Community Hospital. Sopro SLC 578, supplied by Smet Building Products Ltd is a pumpable, self-levelling, rapid-set, cementitious surface filler, for use in conjunction with floor heating internally.

Used for the production of smooth, unbroken surfaces prior to installation of floor coverings, e.g.ceramic tiles, natural stone finishes, textile, elastic and parquet flooring. For coat thicknesses between min. 3 mm and max. 40 mm. (Sopro FS 5 549 floor-levelling compound is recommended for thin-coat (≤ 3 mm) applications; Sopro FE 678 Rapidur® self-levelling screed is recommended for coat thicknesses > 40 mm.) Suitable Substrates include; cement screeds, concrete and untreated concrete surfaces (min. 3 months old), heated floor constructions (cement and calcium sulphate screeds), magnesium oxychloride (magnesite) screeds.

We pump applied our Self Levelling, Calcium Sulphate based Liquid Floor Screed in this self-build in Inishowen, Co. Donegal.  160m2 was poured over UFH to a depth of 50mm, maximising the transfer of heat.

We instal our liquid screeds using our Mobile Screed Factory. This state-of-the-art machine is a fully automated, mobile, computerised batching system.  Our Mobile Screed Factory machine is mounted on a rigid truck, making it easily manoeuvrable onsite or on-street setup.  The Mobile Screed Factory carries our screed binder, sand & aggregates, and water in separate compartments. The automatic production process ensures materials are precisely weighed, fed to the mixing bin, and into the pump for easy, mess-free installation. This ensures the Mobile Screed Factory produces our liquid floor screed to a consistently high quality.
